This one took 3 separate visits to get both Tulip and Cassidy done but it was worth the wait (6 in total over the years so far and I hope that I get a few more opportunities to continue). It can be a test of your patience to go for stuff like this when an artist wants to make sure that as many fans as possible get something, Steve usually spends only 15 - 20mins per sketch and he has been really cool about this so far. The flip side to the long wait is that it also makes each visit more interesting. The same goes for sketch jams. When you have seen similar line ups at cons as the years go by it's fun if you have have little projects to chase (edit: it's not stalking honest).

This Renato Guedes variant cover for Valiant's upcoming Savage #1 really jumped out at me (as giant, scary dinosaur heads often do) when I saw the previews for it. I immediately contacted Renato and picked it up.

Awesome! J.R.Jr. doesn't seem to get a lot of love around here, but I've always really loved his Wolverine. Terrific piece!

Stefano Raffaele is an artist whose style grew leaps and bounds over the last

few years and is now doing outstanding work on some cool Sci-Fi projects.

In 1997, Raffaele was invited to be one of the four major Italian artists

to contribute a pinup to the Play Press edition of SUPERMAN #105, which

was the Italian edition of SUPERMAN #123 and featured the debut of

Superman Blue:

I was told this piece was also published in the U.S, but I have no idea where;

if you have any clue about the U.S. publication of this piece, please let me

know. Thanks !

Was unable to pick up any Doctor Strange pages from the recent Heritage or ComicLink auctions but I did get a page from Defenders #9 (Chapters 4-6) of the Avengers/Defenders War!

Sal Buscema Penciller

Frank McLaughlin Inker

Steve Englehart Writer

A complete nostalgia pick-up, this page has it all for me.

Doctor Strange "throwing" a spell

His foes' (Mantis and Black Panther) dialog "We were no more than ants to him! When he felt like it, he just stepped on us!"

Doctor Strange carrying away one of the six shards of the Evil Eye

And the great "coming attractions" box listing the upcoming issues and face-offs!
