That's great!

I'd love to have that!

Although it has never been particularly easy to find the posters and stickers which originally came with certain issues (especially for the stickers, if still attached to the books), this area of collecting literally peaked through the roof in the last ten years, and current prices are honestly too high for these.

As much as I desired it, I would not have paid about $100 for this poster, I was happy to have it in a trade, however, as I had other similar stuff to trade for.

To remain in topic (with the FF) here’s how the stickers originally came, stapled within the books. Early issues in grade with the stickers go usually for $150-300, while they would go for $40-50 max without the stickers and/or posters.

The stickers were a real treat… of course I loved the stories, but the first issue of the italian FF I have ever picked (a late issue, as I started in 1978) had the stickers, and the memory of these stickers, which you could see attached here and there, hinted to earlier stories, characters you were not familiar with yet… they were awesome.

I have that issue in near mint condition, almost like it’s off the newsstand, with the stickers – I will take a picture and post it…

I have already recalled this, but my earliest expsosure to the early "rocky" Thing came with this sticker (which I recently learned it is sourced from the pin-up in issue 2), which I saw attached in a used books store (click to see larger version):

That image enchanted me: it was full of mystery and promise… I wished to know the history of the Fantastic Four, I could only imagine how wonderful they must have been… :D

The sticker with the Thing pinup came with the italian #6 (which publishes #9) – I discovered that later on. The green blurb at the bottom says "contains die-cut stickers"… :cloud9:

I am not keeping most of my italian issues, but this one will remain in my collection…

Great to see these Italian copies...really cool stuff.

Latest addition (not in my 1-20 run but a book I've always wanted in this condition):

Thanks for looking, as always.

Of course it’s undeniable we may be more affectioned to the first place where we have read the stories. Not having read the FF #13 in italian when I was a kid (I bought that copy later on), I am not particularly affectioned to that edition, and I prefer the original. :)

A good number of early FF stories… I have read them in Fantastici Quattro Gigante ("Giant Fantastic Four"), an magazine sized reprint which presented the FF and Strange Tales Torch/Thing stories in chronological order. There were 2-3 episodes per issue, but coincidentally, I see issue #6 uses the cover of #13 (I do not own it, but would love to collect that series, and I will get rid of the normal edition):

I picked up a nice copy today of FF # 66 from a good dealer in Weschester County, NY called Alternate Realities. He always has a good assortment of Silver Age Marvel comics. The book has some tanning but I bought it right away.

Beautiful (a pity for the missing corner) – #66 is hard to find in grade, I still have to find my "perfect" copy (but close). Here’s my current copy. Would be really sweet but has a very small water drop stain in the black area above (not noticeable in the scan).

Yes, I was very happy to find such a white covered copy. I haven’t been able to find one as much white for #67. So far, one of my two keepers is this one, which is my favorite as it has better printed interiors and a pretty white cover.

The stress around the top staple probably brings it down to a FN+, but I don’t care – I favor it over other higher grade copies I have had. :)
