David Aikins has been wanting to do an updated Universal Monsters to take to Cons. He doesn't do commissions very often but has been wanting to do one of these and I recently received an email that he finished it, I don't have it yet but should get it in a week or so.

11x14 on coquille bristol board, and done in black prismacolor pencil and ink.

Picked up this piece by Billy Fowler this weekend at Wizard World Chicago. Absolutely thrilled with how it turned out.

He was telling me about how the paper in my sketchpad was really thick so he had to keep layering on color and it took him like half the day to finish, so I felt bad about that. But I am a little happy because all that time turned into an awesome Harley Quinn.

I worked closely with Pia Guerra to put together a fun commission that I am proud to own. I always thought of Y as almost like a John Hughes coming of age story about a guy who responds unbelievably well against the challenges thrown his way-- whether he causes them or not. So i figured why not pay homage to a famous movie poster and see how Y looks with the Breakfast Club treatment. 11x17, and I'm literally looking for framing options as I type:

Alex Konat commission at a store signing of Aspen from Fathom. Yes, that is Dave Wohl sitting beside him (he signed ALL my Witchblade comics, including my #1 (squee!!))

He also did a sketch on the back of my Fathom #1B retailer variant (which wasn't supposed to have a blank back cover!)
