In my never ending quest to acquire pieces by the artists I enjoy doing the characters I most associate them with, I have long had Frank Brunner on my list.

The bad news is that he retired before I got to him.

The good news is that he's not real good at retirement!

Kathy started working with him in the spring for this piece and I think he really came through.

I didn't realize there was a thread on commissions already, so I started a thread elsewhere in this forum. Anyway here is my first commission which I penciled myself and had Joe Rubinstein ink - inspired by the cover of Justice League #1 with the characters from the Dark Phoenix Saga:

The story behind how this came to be can be found in CAF here:

Another new talent showcase...Ken Hunt

Ken is a new talent jumping onto the scene and his art rep Michael G. Alexander of www.moregreatart.com commissioned Ken as a surprise thank you to me for some work I had done for him. I think Ken brought an modern, high-energy take on Neal Adam's classic cover. Hope you guys like it and considera commission of your own. Thanks to Michael and to Ken http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=863838&GSub=113025

Continuing New Talent showcase, here is Andie Tong who has been around for several years drawing Spider-Man for Marvel UK and for other European books. Not so much known over here.

Andie did X-Men #9 featuring the X-Men v. Avengers and he wanted to go with a little Phoenix foreshadowing. Kind of a big departure from the actual story but I kind of like it. Andie Tong One Minute Later
