Addressing your first point -- I'm not sure what you mean by "stuck" with a Ewert slab. Regardless, they feel they have done everything they can. And there is no "larger" bruise. As I noted earlier... there's been no perceptible impact to their bottom line nor in anyone having lessened confidence. A handful of people on the internet doesn't count. Until there is a larger impact, there will be no change in policy.
As to your second point, I don't see why that can't happen either. But it isn't going to.

What part of CGC's offer to reimburse for trimmed Ewert books makes you think they don't care? They do care. Just not to the full extent of the culpability that's resulted from this scandal perpetuated by an individual for whom they are not personally responsible.
