You mean the type of spin that tries to blame CGC for allowing replaced staples when Overstreet has allowed it all along?
I'm not picking on you personally though, I'm just trying to show that everyone is subjective including me and you.
Actually, I was more interested in the CT removal. Unlike pressing, which reflattens paper, CT removal typically involves some type of scrapping or abrasive impact to the paper. So that combo of introducing damage plus the grade shooting up seems...magical.
The book never had "color touch". When it was owned by gator, he had it raw. He had it sitting on the table next to a black felt tip pen that was uncapped. He let it roll over and touch the spine of the book, to the left of the lowest ricocheted bullet. Obviously, no one would color touch a blue spine with a black pen; not even a Florida grad. The upgrade was a result of dents and creases being removed, and this time cgc realized it was an inkmark, not a "color touch."

Cmon now.Dont let the facts spoil a good story.
Those added details make the story even more interesting. The 'acquisition' end of the Game-equation doesn't rate the attention the 'results' end gets. Mainly because the results can be so eye-popping.
Seeing the Game well played, full spectrum, and where collectors took the hit on a book's path to Fortune and Glory, is fascinating stuff. It's not always the amped up cash-out finale, sometimes that acquisition phase can be just as cringe-worthy.
In all seriousness this is the most bizarre thing I have heard on these boards in a long time. You mean to say if it had been a blue marker that touched the book it would have been called color touch but since it was black Cgc determined the color touch was not actually color touch but the results of a careless insufficiently_thoughtful_person from Florida ?
Sorry Rick, but you just can't pass up the easy ones.
