Maybe he tried the patented "heads I win, tails you lose" strategy?

I had a weird experience at Anthony's booth.

Helper A asked me what I was looking for, so I told him some artists and characters. Before he goes off to find anything, he whips out his phone for a couple minutes. Helper B comes along and asks me the same thing, and I tell him the same stuff I told A. B actually gets some stuff right away. A few minutes later A drops a portfolio on top of what I'm looking at and tells B to buzz off (wasn't the exact words) because I'm his sale. Then they go back and forth. It made it really uneasy for me because I personally felt B was more helpful, but A did ask to help first. I ended up not buying anything, so neither of them got a sale. Were the people working the booth paid commission for any sales?

This is the equivalent of 'It was a dark and stormy night' in the OA world. Lot's of people have had 'weird experience' at Anthony's.

hello, monsterbento

i am one of the sales reps from anthony's comic book art and i'm sorry you had a bad experience. i'm not sure if i am helper a or b, but i'd like to answer some of your questions and hopefully resolve this situation. first, to catalog our inventory of 1000's of original art pages is very difficult so when a customer tells us they are looking for a specific artist or character sometimes we have to check the website to see what we have. when the ipad isn't available because it is charging or being used to process a credit card, we turn to our phones to check the site on the mobile browser and i can assure you that neither of us would blow off a customer to fool around on our phones. also we are not paid a commission for sales and there was no competition for who sold more, however there were times that myself and the other associate would joke around between each other and i'm very sorry if that came across as bickering over a sale. customer service is a priority in this business and if there's anything we can do to make this up to you please either contact myself at tke521@gmail.com or the owner of the business anthony snyder at anthony@anthonysnyder.com
