I just finished reading Hamlet, so I have Hamlet on the brain. I played Claudius. I got it in the end.
All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players: They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts,

That's one of the most common monologues used for auditions. I went to an audition once and when asked what my Shakespeare would be I said that one and the panel gave a collective moan, so I switched to something from Henry the sixth part three.

"If it's not disclosed...you're being hosed." Who coined that phrase? Me, damnit! And it's still true. "Into my heart an air that kills,From yon far country blows What are those blue remembered hills,What spires, what farms are those? That is the land of lost content,I see it shining plain, The happy highways where I went and cannot come again." Nothing I say is intended to be a factual statement.
