Good luck with your quest! I was in the Perez line last year for a quick sketch and can tell yout that at least last year they were moving people that were there to get signatures to the front of the line every 2 to 3 sketches just to keep the line down. It never got out of control but I think I counted at one time about 15 people in line.
You should be able to do what you need in one day but if you only get one day make sure you pin down when Perez will be at his table. Dragon Con is a "fun" con for him and he knows a lot of the people there and likes to run around the convention. Check his facebook updates while you are there....
See you there, I'll be down probably for 1 day myself now that I know Rose McGowan will be there

I was the second guy they did that for! I thought it made sense cause yeah it kept the line down... Were you there on Friday at the start of his signings?

Well havent been in this journal in a while but my SS activity has picked up (compared to zero in the past)...
I did get Par2ch to facilitate two book signings for me at Dragon*con, and much thanks to him.
Decided, relatively last minute to skip pressing my HOS 181 signed by Neal Adams since I planned on getting it graded anyway, so why not get it graded with a signature!?!
Also decided to be the 8 thousandth person to get Infinity Gauntlet #1 signed by Starlin/Perez
I'm leaning towards selling this one to help finance the other one depending on what grade it comes back with. But if I decide otherwise Im sure I wont be the first guy to toss the "funding" plan for the sake of keeping an awesome book.

My next SS buy a month ago was one of my favorite covers around....
DC Special #6. A book full of western reprint matieral with just an 8 page, Gil Kane drawn, framing sequence. My understanding is that outside of the framing story there are no Sci-Fi elements to the book, despite the cover... Some poor kid in the 70s was very disappointed.
I had been looking to grab one of these, and wouldnt you know the same week an 8.5 popped up on ebay, this nice SS 7.0 shows up on the boards. I decided to spend the same money for a lesser book with a great sig. NO regrets.
