This is a key; first Roy Rogers (not in my collection anymore)

I would definitely say the FC #38 is a GA western key. I'd also say the following are GA western keys:

 

Crackajack Funnies #9 (First Red Ryder)

Gene Autry Comics #1

Lone Ranger Comics #1 (Ice Cream Cone cover) (first western comic devoted to single character).

Star Ranger #1 (tied for first western comic)

Western Picture Stories #1 (tied for first western comic)

Pretty book. Great run by Severin and Elder. Also, love me those bound volumes!

This has always struck me as a neat cover from this title; so many good covers in that run though that it doesn't make it to the top of the list -

I like this cover too. Definitely stands out from the rest of the Tomahawk covers.
