I saw Met had a Zip 13 they added to their for sale list. VG for $500. I called Frank to ask him to bring it to NYCC next week so I could have a look (since they had a stock photo) and he said it already sold.

 

Who got it?

Well, Frank called and said "I've got Andrew on the other line, would you do $550?"

Ha, I don't doubt it. Ironically, emailed me after our convo showing me the results of his resubmission to CGC. Said if I didn't act fast you were gonna buy em all. I told him I couldn't compete with Tony.

I think I paid too much then at $600.

Both are great books,but I think the 18 is more desirable with the first appearance of Wilbur.

Never seen that one before. Very nice!

A couple of glossy pretty sweet Katy Keene books showed up at my door the other day

I have heard that 12 is not too common. These things are like newsstand fresh with a few little chips. The chips are odd because there is no brittleness at all.

Beautiful copies Rick ... that 12 in particular. It is a very hard copy to find in high grade.
