I know they were newspaper reprints, but they were still fun to read if you

Just saw a copy of BATMAN #2 that sold for $20,501.00 and it reminded me of

the cover of my DETECTIVE #152.

Abner was very popular when I was young. Both the musical and the movie were hits. I usually read the comics but read the newspaper strip when I could find it.

That's killer Marty! Now I have go pull out my copy and check it out. If my mom found that when I was a kid it would have been in the trash and torn up. My butt would probably be sore too. At first she would just throw away books like that but got wise when she found us pulling them out of the can. We got wise and kept our "objectionable" stuff up in the treehouse where she wouldn't go!
