I liked Shazam :shy:
I liked the idea of a bunch of kids making him up and the "Superman/Shazam!: Return of Black Adam" short was a good time as well.

Loved that (thumbs u

I always used to say Captain Marvel (Shazam) was my 3rd favourite superhero. I guess I'm too old to say that now... :(

Always had a crush on Mary Marvel from the 70's era, although the Judy Garland look was kickin' as well. Loved those Bullet Girl team ups, not so much Freckles.

Other than Supergirl: Season 1, there hasn't been too many decent new releases, so I picked up a DVD of Wet Hot American Summer and the animated "Red Sonja: Queen of Plagues" today on Blu Ray.

It looked decent, not sure if the animation is crappy. Worth a "blind buy" I guess. (shrug)

Red Sonja: Queen of Plagues is a motion comic... so good luck with that! Never liked the look of those myself.

Remind me. Was Wet Hot American Summer the point where the Garofabubble burst? Or was that Mystery Men...?

I did not know that about Red Sonja.

Back it goes tomorrow.

I hate motion picture comics as well.

I thought Paul Rudd. Elizabeth Banks and Chris Meloni were brilliant in that one. Hard to believe Bradley Cooper had a role in it as well.

I always thought Janeane's bubble started to burst around the "sell-out" rom-com "The Truth About Cats & Dogs," I think in '97. I don't count her ensemble work in "mystery Men," "Summer" because she wasn't the focus. She hit rock bottom with "Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior."

I believe she was her own worst critic when it came to "selling out" in The Truth About Cats & Dogs. The best part of that film was when she says "dog" in a British accent (thumbs u

New Frontier :sumo:
Defective DVD. Kept freezing up 45 minutes in. Pretty good so far. I'll replace it one day to finish it. (thumbs u

I'm tempted to go out and buy it and send it to you

It's wonderful, a great way they could have done all the movies

I really liked the mature tone compared with the most recent DC animation ones (except for the exceptional The Killing Joke.) I have no doubt it is going to chart high on the list and might even be the best Justice League movie, knocking The Flashpoint Paradox to #2.

Finished it!

I couldn't find any copies of "The Nice Guys" today on Blu ray, so I picked up "DC SuperHero Girls: Hero of the Year" on DVD instead.

It looks fascinating enough. Strong voice cast too (Tara Strong, Mae Whitman, Grey Griffith-must got married.)

I'll watch it tonight before the toxic pre-season football game.

DC Superhero Girls: Hero of the Year. Two out of four stars.

I wasn't the intended audience for this.

It had moments here and there, but wasn't as good as other kiddie fare like Miraculous or Marvel's Superhero Squad.

Not sure how an entire toyline could be based on something that panders to it's intended audience through cliches and poor plotting.

Let your kids watch Miraculous instead!
