I have looked for these in the southeast united states, have RMA level google alerts set up and cannot seem to find these.........LAST. TWO. BOOKS. needed to complete my IDW run. I'd take a 6.5 raw copy at this point.

I saw those transformers books when I was cleaning out an old stock room at one of the comic stores here. He had a whole box of Transformers variants that time forgot.

Saw a 2nd print copy on a rack last week but it was massacred, not even an 8.0

Be sure to check for Valiant newsstands as well in those copies. Very difficult to find in any grade and high grade is a nightmare, but very sellable.

 

 

 

What distinguishes a Valiant Newsstand?

 

The barcode will read "newsstand sales" instead of "direct sales"

Man that will beat my ASM NM 35 Cent variant I found a couple years ago.

I found the ASM 546 variant in the wild. First at Heroes con on a dealers wall last year in cgc graded 9.4 White which I bought. The seller was so happy he found a buyer (period) that recognized what it was he cut me a deal on the price as I was the only person that showed any interest in it at all in the last 3 major shows he took it. He said he found 3 of them in dealer modern stock he bought from a store that went under a few years prior. I offered to buy all 3 but he hadn't brought the other 2.

Second time was later that year at the baltimore comicon. I asked the dealer if he had any modern asm variants. He said no but I could look in his ASM stock. I sifted through and found a great looking copy that looks like it would grade out at 9.4/9.6 priced at $8. It was only in a dirty bag, no board. I found a few other variants too. It pays to look anyways.

Unfortunately it came back a 9.4 white. I'm currently looking for a 9.8 white.

A nice penny, but it might sit for awhile till you find the right buyer.
