Looks a lot like "female Captain America" in most of the action scenes.

Interesting hm

I thought the reverse when I saw The First Avenger.

Unless you're Indiana Jones, a period popcorn movie might yield middling results. :(

Could Enemy Ace Show Up in the Wonder Woman Movie?

wonder-woman-world-war-i-191955.png

Since the movie was set nearly a century in the past, fans likely expected the world around Diana to match that -- especially since audiences already saw a World War I-era photo of Diana, Steve Trevor, and other members of the Wonder Woman supporting cast in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

But as Trevor slid below the wings of World War I German fighter planes, it was hard not to wonder whether at some point in the film, he might not come up against Hans von Hammer, better known to DC fans as Enemy Ace.

Enemy Ace is the name of a DC character created in 1965 by Robert Kanigher and Joe Kubert. He was the greatest German fighting ace of World War I, scoring impressive victories against Allied fighters, but he also lived by a strict code of ethics and sense of honor.

Later in life, von Hammer would refuse to serve the Nazi regime after seeing the full scope of the horrors for which they were responsible in the later years of World War II.

I was going to go with #highroadtochina, but I wanted to throw you.

It was an Indiana Jones knock-off TV show.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tales_of_the_Gold_Monkey

Starring Stephen Collins as Jake Cutter.

Collins had starred as Captain Will Decker in Star Trek: The Motion Picture before.

I think the most recent thing I would have watched him in was Revolution.

What If...

Tom Selleck finally had a shot at an Indiana Jones type character in '83, after he missed his chance in '81.

A poorly produced film, that was more of a homage to Bogart than Indy.

Selleck would have another shot in Magnum p.i.'s eight season with the episode "Raiders of the Lost Art" with his 3 Men & a baby co-star Margaret Colin.

Magnum P.I. Great stuff (thumbs u You don't need to be Indiana Jones if you're Magnum!
