Being the first Comic Book I ever bought off the newsstand and the oldest in

my collection I guess the defects in it aren't all that bad.

Wow, not many people can say they started off like that! Nice to see you still have all of your old books.

THANKS!

Here's another first issue with a cover I had to pick off the newsstand.

I remember that part of the fun in buying Comic Books was finding new

stores that had them. One such place was in Williamsport, PA.

I would take a short cut through the many buildings of the Textile Mill and

pass this dumpy shack that served the workers coffee and sandwiches.

One day hanging in the window on the traditional string and clothes pin

were a couple of Comic Books...I wasn't sure they were for sale but I

went into the little building and asked the man working there if I could buy

one of the comics...this is the one I picked up that day.

Cool story and Book. :applause: That's what is great about collecting, it's the memories. You remember that day or event with these books. Priceless!! I can remember back in 1966 buying Fantastic Four #55 Silver Surfer cover and Amazing Spider -Man #41 off the newsstand. My Mother and Father waiting for me outside in there brand new Ford "Red Convertible' it was a summer night. :cloud9:
