Finished the series last night. DD was one of my favourite characters going back 40 years and is amazing to see these stories done so well.

Loved Punisher and hope he gets a series of some sort.

Can't wait for Luke Cabe now.

Finally finished season 2 this evening. My quick take was that the Punisher storyline was very good, but the Elektra/Hand storyline was not, and dragged the overall season down to below the all-around very successful season 1. It was still better than Jessica Jones, though. 2c

While I did like both storylines, I think each could have been better if they were each full seasons. The Blacksmith storyline could have been fleshed out quite a bit more. By the end of the season you'd also see that Matt and Foggy's relationship was really straining.

The Elektra/Hand/Black Sky/crumbling of Nelson & Murdock storyline would have been best served with a full season dedicated to it all. 2c

Funny thing today, we were looking at a new storage space for our scenery on Blacklist today, and someone on our crew worked on Daredevil and said the hallway and stairway we were in was the one they filmed the fight scene for Daredevil, looked around and realized it was along with our freight elevators

The scene where Punny is offered child porn was filmed at a store on W. 14th Street between 5th and 6th Ave., just a couple of doors down from my gym. I recognized the union hall and Potbelly sandwich shop right across the street.

Charlie Cox Asked Funko For Some DAREDEVIL Pops To Take To Children's Hospitals; Here's What Happened Next

Last year, Charlie Cox was honoured at the American Foundation for the Blind’s 19th Annual Helen Keller Achievement Awards in New York City for his portrayal of Matt Murdock in Daredevil. The actor and character have understandably served as inspiration to many people who have disabilities relating to their sight, and it looks like Cox intends to visit some schools and hospitals to talk to kids about just that.

The actor recently reached out to Funko about getting some Daredevil bobbleheads he could share with those youngsters. No doubt expecting to receive maybe a dozen or so, Cox was clearly surprised to find himself in possession of upwards of 100 of them!

I love the series so far. Can't wait for more.

A few things that maybe someone can help me sort out. I watched this a few months back, so the details may be fuzzy.

Someone already mentioned that they didn't address the undead ninja thing. They seemed like they were going to, but they didn't. Maybe season 3? Anyway...are hand ninjas undead in the comics? Follow-up...is it specified if they are able to mask/stop their heart rate for combat or do they simply not have a heart rate? Do they even have hearts anymore?

Do the Hand ninja know that Daredevil is blind? lol As I was typing this out, I answered my own question. The Hand attacked Matt in his home, so presumably they know his identity and his condition. Beyond that, they employ the same tactics that they honed through fighting Stick. Question answered!

How is listening for someone's breath "going deeper", as Stick suggests, than listening for someone's heart? To Daredevil, wouldn't someone's breath be much louder than their heart? And we'll skip the more science-y question of why is there a need to breathe if the heart isn't moving blood anyway. That actually doesn't bother me as far as undead ninjas go. :)

I'd ask how Punisher knew about the final rooftop battle, but I assume he heard it on a police scanner. The question is why would he care? Daredevil has been a thorn in his side so far. The Hand, so far as we know, didn't have anything to do with the death of Frank's family (right?). Why risk exposure so soon after being released from prison? Did he feel he owed DD for getting him away from the Kitchen Irish?

Finally, more of a curiosity...did anyone else feel like Frank knows Matt's dual-identity? I seem to remember one of the first times Frank heard Matt speak...at the trial, I think...his ears perked up. Not because he was interested in what Matt was saying, but because the voice sounded familiar. Anyone see that, or am I making it up?

That's great. But the competition wasn't that good this year:

Bosch,

Daredevil,

DreamWork's Dragons,

Man in the High Castle, The,

Marvel's Jessica Jones,

Powers,

Sense8,

Man in the High Castle, The

This one and Jessica Jones could have bumped it out, they were both so good.

Though I will have to admit of the three it is only Daredevil I would go back and watch it again.

Marvel And Netflix Announce Daredevil Season 3

After months of speculation, Marvel has made it official: Daredevil will be returning to Netflix for a third season.

The announcement was made during one of Marvel’s many presentations at San Diego Comic Con. Joe Quesada confirmed the news just moments ago at their panel where they discussed Luke Cage, Iron Fist - and of course - Daredevil.

Okay, three more episodes last night brings me through the introduction of Elektra, a couple of Matt's moonlighting trips with her, and the redemption of the Punisher storyline.

Pretty good stuff, if a little on the soap opera side what with the Karen Page/Elektra love stories.
