Awesome seeing the entire run together like that, Robot. I love the 3 "closeup" covers from #11-13; I also like the in house "swipe" of the cover of #1 onto the cover of #5.

 

Something I should've noticed before but didn't. Actually a nice job achieving a different effect with a different coloring scheme. :)

Sorry can't help on those. #3,4,5 were a little tough for me. I paid a lot for #4 because it was the last one I needed and fairly high grade.

 

No worries! #2 is easy as you know, that one I'll make last. #3 I'd say is as tough, or a little tougher, than #4, but I happened to find a nice #3 awhile ago. And #5 compared to those two, I'd call easy.

 

#6 and #12 are the toughies for the whole run, to me, but got those awhile ago. :)

I got two copies of #6. One raw and one CGC 5.0.

 

Not a cheap book but isn't it rare mostly to being a popular cover vs actual scarcity of copies or is it really fewer in numbers?

Yes, I believe it does. As do quite a few others. I did a subset back a while ago with"artist" covers but I think I did not have the Mr Mystery #4 then

Here's a Hot run that everyone wanted back in the 90's

 

Great run Steve. I suspect that everyone in 2016 would want that run as well. #9, and #10 were the weakest covers probably. I can't remember with out pulling them out but I suspect the interiors of those are every bit as good as the rest of the run. I will have to do my run when I get to the "W" box. I always just loved any book with "Weird" in the title.

Can't believe one of my favorite threads has slipped to page 5!

 

Little by little as I get the time, I am going through my horror boxes and doing group shots of the ones that are complete. I'm missing maybe 6 or 7 Atlas but this set is complete. (at least as I want it to be). What's YOUR favorite?
