I wonder if you created a comic with a double cover on purpose if it would sell decently-- as it would allow so many people to own one. I've never even held one (that I know about at least).

I'm not totally up on the 'marrying', the seller seems to be calling it a 'misprint'. But I don't think that's accurate?

Does your X-Men #1 have the same cover? or is it one of the other 3

It's that one.

:( Well Dang that is a shame, would be cool to put together the whole set of those with Double Covers.

Some books just seem to get Double Covers more than others. 2c

interesting but not quite what I was thinking of-- but someone answered that already that multi covers have been produced on purpose (can't recall if they were doubles.

Seems like the naturally occurring ones are what makes them truly special/collectible. Production fakes are a silly idea and married ones seem fraudulent.

I purchased a bunch of comics a month ago and there was a bunch of sketch covers in there and one of them had a double cover which I thought was odd. Are double covers normal or something that does not happen that often.

They are nice to have and eminently collectible but they are not rare per se, although the more key the issue the more desirable in a double, triple, quad etc.

Personally I love 'em :cloud9:
