After 3 years, I've given in to the inevitable Timely addiction.

What started as a one time experiment is now consuming a greater share of my annual comic spend. One time turned into 2 times, 2 turned into 4, then 4 turned into 8.

Now I'm looking for my next fix on a daily basis.

They say step#1 is to admit you have a problem.

Well my name is Brian and I have a Timely Schomburg Human Torch cover problem.

Welcome to the addiction!

Great looking books!

Timely's are so much fun!

Your doctor would say a Schomburg Torch cover problem isn't as bad as a case of the Schomburg Cap covers.

Picked up this interesting Canadian edition. Interior of Marvel Mystery 87 minus the Cap story but adding a crime story:

pretty wild stuff :insane:

...and it's a Burgos cover to boot

he only needed to draw Torch and Toro on that crime cover and presto!--it would have looked like a late Marvel Mystery cover.

In the "rooms", they say "Nothing changes if nothing changes...." ...... however, when that nice new Timely shows up on the porch, rehabilitation can be most difficult. GOD BLESS...

I think my financial advisor would agree !

The Salvage for Victory WWII recycling programs that started in Jan '42 and the comic book burnings of the late 40's & early 50's gave me a much greater appreciation for the books that survived both those events.

Got to thank the various threads on these boards that enlightened me to the rich history that envelopes the early GA of comic books!

I think if a mid grade Marvel Mystery 13 (which you also have...) showed up on my stoop, I would probably die from it. I could just stare and stare at that cover.... and with the S&K intro to the Vision ?............. I'm surprised it isn't on everyone's want list. GOD BLESS...
