A nice raw sale for $15:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BATMAN-FAMILY-20-HI-GRADE-RAGMAN-JIM-STARLIN-/391268954152?hash=item5b19727028

which doesn't seem that great to me actually, but

I feel like this one ought to do better, Starlin cover, Golden art, tons of appearances, last issue in the series

It sold for 956.00

$956 seems pretty steep, but i have no idea if that particular issue is impossible in grade. seems like harvey usually has file copies out there though.

not $40 in a 9.6 slab though. that's the cost of encapsulation practically.

i wouldn't harp too much on opg because they have no idea if the book is impossible in 9.6/9.8

but yes, $2K+ sounds insane. it's not even the last issue of the series and the cover is kind of "bleh"

highest recent sale on ebay: $4. yes, not a high grade copy.

$2K+ seems out of touch with other BA 9.8s on ebay at least:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/STAR-TREK-54-CGC-9-8-WHITE-PAGES-1978-/191599241098?hash=item2c9c34678a

$200

Heck, even a Shatner SS is way less at $700:

I guess these are really hard to find in 9.8

Impossible to find in high grade. Bob himself doesn't even have high grade copies.

This is not a groundbreaking price for this book, maybe even a good deal for the buyer given the scarcity of these in auction format on eBay, but well worth mentioning

I find this book often in $5-$10 boxes, but they're usually 5.0 or below. I'd definitely call it a sleeper in high grade.

To me, the word "copies" is a misnomer.

Been scrambling for a Shazam 28 9.8, but this may be too rich for my blood. Seller also calls Black Adam "black Atom". Sheesh.

It sold. And movie set for 2019. Sigh... sending a couple to CGC but highly doubt they will hit 9.8.

Wow ! :o

I would have bet against this just a few short years ago. Is Moon Knight a new Marvel movie ?

I am suspicious of that result as at that price you can get a 9.4 slab rather than a 9.0 raw:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Moon-Knight-1-1980-1st-Series-CGC-9-4-Origin-of-Moon-Knight-NM-NO-RESERVE-/141799056840?hash=item2103e1e5c8:g:1E8AAOSwl9BWGr9f

Don't get me wrong, i hope it is a $50 book, it should be a $50 book@!!!!

I cant tell you how many NM copies of the 1980 series Ive passed on for dirt cheap

rogers time machine used to have about 50 of them in his dollar boxes as of about 5 years ago. along with a similae # of copies of rom 1.

i passed on a bunch for $2 at nycc, but they weren't sufficiently minty

Did anybody bring up Avengers 83 yet? Valkyrie may be in Thor: Ragnarok.

Also it has a sweet cover.

How about Hulk 126,142 and Thor 200 then ? (shrug)

Avengers 83 already spiked and is now trending down.

Hulk 142 will be the one to take off in my opinion. You can still buy high grade copies at a reasonable price

Thor 200 has very few 9.8 copies. I would expect a few more to surface but it is a blood red cover, making 9.8 copies hard to find. I know, I have been actively searching.
