Googled it and didn't find something until going to CAF. Approximate numbers would be good to know. Anyone know how difficult this is to find?

That would be the "no Number" #1? That book is rather common,so it carries a 50-100% premium outside of nosebleed grades.

should this have been issue #37?

I don't have any data, but my sense is that it's not too uncommon... Maybe 10% to 15% of print run? I say this only because I used to se it quite often... I have one of each, so not much help there.

Of course, it's likely pretty tough in higher grades... Marvel Spotlight V2 was one of those lower tier titles that no one thought was of interest. Captain Marvel? Star lord? Captain Universe? Who would ever be interested in those guys? Especially if the art was by "has-beens" like Ditko, or unknowns like Miller. These sat in the cheap bins for years, and took a beating...

They just forgot to include the number on the swapout with the Direct version. Swapping out was still very new when this happened. They fixed it, and continued the run, and didn't bother to scrap the no number copies. It's a fairly common book.

picked up my first 30 cent price variant - a book I needed for my Daredevil collection (don't even have the 25 cent version) but I stumbled upon it in eBay and only one guy had bid on it with not much time left. It was not labelled as a price variant (or had much to say about the book at all). The people selling it had no idea how to pack a comic * but it made it to me about as well as I imagined it condition wise.

have it over in the PGM section too if you want to weigh in.....

PGM DD 132

* no cardboard sandwich, not taped together as a block, just flopping around inside the flat rate envelope along with one other comic book I bought --- with a couple of notes scribbled on both sides asking to not bend the package. Miracle it made it without issue, helped that it only had to go from Colorado to AZ. Took a chance with the seller realizing they mainly sold coins (could not find a single feedback that was comic book related). It would not have cost them anything more to add a bunch of cardboard-- really pretty silly. I will give positive feedback but not them for poor shipping of comics.
