So Jay I scanned AIWW 20 and realized after scanning one story, with my antiquated scanner that takes forever, that it was the wrong one...

Such a great book Jimbo, this one has been on my want list (thumbs u

Here's a nice copy of a cool book. The first copy I ever owned came from an OO collection that belonged to an employer of mine years ago.... that one was kind of rough. This one is a tad nicer.Bill (his name...) had stored them in his attic in Charles Chips tin drums..... he had mostly horror while his wife (they married at 17 and both read comics still...) had romance and even a Wonder Woman 45 (origin issue). There was a Menace 1 in there also.... first time I ever laid eyes on a copy. GOD BLESS.....

Very cool, thank you! :applause:

It looks like Jessie is still using his shrinking formula from the first story!

Nice parade of books Jimbo!

Looking at all the cover stories listed, the one that sparks my curiosity is "Tommy has a Teddy Bear"! How is that one?

...it's OK..... kid gets saved by his teddy...... the "Dead Duke" story is good in that ish, by Anderson..... and the cover story, by Sinnott, is exceptional. GOD BLESS...

Nice! And that JIUW 14 has a Wolverton story in it I believe too! (thumbs u

...the JIUW 14 is a "coffin book" with Wolverton and a favorite Everett story as well, "Scarecrow". I wouldn't be eager to sell ANY of these, but for some reason, the one's I would be least willing to part with are mostly JIUW's. The 19 and 22 are also likely to be "coffin books". It was agonizing to watch Don's Northford 7.0 of JIUW 19 go up and I was unable to swing it :frustrated: .... at least it went to a pal. I keep a lot of these at the Bank and didn't realize I had as many as I did. Sometimes I list a few in sales threads but my attachment to them is such that I usually price them out of any realistic chance at a sale. What surprises me is how widely tastes can vary on these books. JIUW 14 is a favorite of mine, but for some reason doesn't sell for that much, comparatively speaking. Another absolute favorite of mine is Spellbound 7...... and Don's copy (one of two(?) top census 8.5's...) sits unsold in his thread at $ 800, while other JIM's and ST's will go for 10 times that. I guess that's to be expected in a niche market, but still (shrug) ..... regardless, I've probably had more fun collecting these than just about anything else, with the possible exception of when I was filling in the early part of my FF run before I even knew what the cover to many of them looked like. GOD BLESS...

^ What he said.

Here's my meager collection of JIUW, which I had always considered as the flagship title for the Atlas horror genre;

Picked this one up tonight. certainly not perfect, but I like it.

Nice pick up.

I've noticed that the post code Atlas suspense books are far rarer than the pre-code horror material, I would speculate because fewer were printed due to less of a demand, comparatively.
