My first attempt to post this was eaten. Pulled up to a random garage sale to about a short box+ between a stack on the table and in two cardboard boxes underneath. Guy had no idea on price as to what he wanted to ask. He said 10 or 25 cents each. I got my stack and asked for a price and he said pay me whatever. I gave him a $5.

The Iron Fist is fair.

Should have just offered $10 for all of them.

Whoops I meant he should have offered $10 for all of the comics that was being sold. Not just the comics shown above.

I live in a rural area which isn't good for being able to go to comic stores to find books. but on the other hand I have been going farm auctions and been able to find some pretty nice books for dirt cheap. The people around here don't really know much about comics so I can get them low. I picked up a stack 20-30 comics from the 50's for $12 about 1/2 had the top third of the cover cut off but among the ones that didn't was a Detective comics 245, Batman 120, Strange Adventures 80 and some old Dell disney comics. I also picked up amazing spidey 41 and superman 199 along with a few tales of suspense and others for $4 each the other weekend.

Had some luck while out of town this week checking out a kijiji ad while on location. I ended up snagging the following small group of Copper/Modern books for $60 CDN.

I'll do you a solid & offer you $60/US for that. That is like a 100% profit!

:kidaround:

You can keep the rest I'll give you $120 US for the BA 12. Score!

I don't know about that. When I put my mind to it, I can do 70 a week without any stress to the system at all, and I work 75 hour weeks routinely in the real world. Baseball season definitely makes it easier - I can ship 20 packages in the hour that "Quick Pitch" runs, plus I get to look at Heidi Watney.

Listing them isn't so hard especially when you're doing 15 or 20 of the same title/era, it's shipping them out that I find to be a PITA, but part of that is cutting my own cardboard to save money, cutting 3-5 sheets per shipment takes time.

i find it hard to believe that someone of your advanced age (based on your avatar picture) really works 75 hours a week. maybe if you were a porn star or something, but that isn't really work.
