Ranking the Non-Pedigree Original Owner Collections
1 1

I would add the Fire Lake Collection books to this list. That collection had some beauties and many highest graded books.

I forgot about that collection. I can't remember who brought it to market, Lange's ?, but it was sold raw, in auction, via E-Bay. I remember they graded really strict, like their VF's were 9.4's type of strict. Once people caught on the books got very pricey. I think Brulato was buying many of these.

Personally, I don't recall getting any. Regrets. Nice books.

...... wasn't this offered up by those Zilla guys on eBay ? GOD BLESS...

Dallas Stevens is not an original owner collection.

Mannarino is recognized by CGC.

If we're going to attempt to rank the SA collections, it would be helpful to remove the names that are primarily GA or BA collections.

Dallas Stephens has been removed (thumbs u

Putting all original owner collections together for now- will separate them via age after all are identified. Will be some time before these collections are ranked if even possible since there's much to learn about them. This thread is a works in progress and boardies with more knowledge than me (like you) about this area are helping out big time.

Thanks to all you guys for the help!

Trying to see whether these collections have a collecting characteristic that makes for an interesting distinction. For example, the pre-1960 Edenwalds have a focus on books with Steve Ditko's art.

This is an fantastic aspect of our hobby IMHO.

Weren't some of them for sale on the boards, or am I confusing them with another collection of underground books? hm
