Picked up this unpublished cover by Gray Morrow with the two prelims. Pretty cool to see his thought process. Before I put it in my CAF can anyone guess the book?

Four very cool arrivals this week, three of which were Don Newton Batman interior pages, and BOOM a Winsor McCay 1908 Dream of the Rarebit Fiend. I took a lousy picture but its already at the framer so that will have to do for now. Had been hoping to someday be in a position to get a McCay original (the Nemo's are out of reach), and here it is!

This page originally had a poem on it (for all youse highbrow comic fans) but that stat seems to be lost to the ether, so I'll make a replacement for it eventually. For now...

The original piece of this cover would be a dream but this is a cheap thrill and at 11 x 17 this will be nice to see it in my portfolio as I flip through it on occasion:

Okay, here's a new art addition.

It's from a Kickstarter funded book called "A Hero's Death." It failed to make on its first try, but the team (Ricardo Sanchez (words) and Mark Texeira (pictures)) kept working on the book (it's fully painted by Mark Texeira) and tried to Kickstart it a second time. That time worked!

Still, painting is slow work and it's taken awhile to get done, but the result is a beautiful and moving story. It's worth the read.

As for the Kickstarter, I got a remarqued book with this image in it.

Just posted a 6 page (9 OA pages) story by Jeremy Baum called FAWN

In the additional images I posted the printed page so the story can be read. I don't think it's about a fawn at all

(as I am with all of Jeremy's stories)

I always thought that Sal drew the best Hulk issues. He had the "I am angry face" down pat.
