David Golding is an up-and-comer and he did a great job on this Invaders One Minute Later with the Reaper. I love the heads/expressions in the upper left and the crackle and energy of the Reaper -- Cap better throw his shield and disrupt his aging scythe or Bucky is in real trouble!!!!

David was great to deal with and did the commission in just a few weeks. I highly recommend him. You can write him at: d.goldingartist@virginmedia.com . Tell him the One Minute Later guy sent you.

Just added a nice new page which, while not a very splashy image, has a lot of charm and appeal in many other ways due to the subject matter. The fact it was also a gift to me, from artist Mike Vosburg, also added to my enjoyment of it. But don't just take my word for it, see for yourself:

I don't post my new art pieces here much but today was a great day:

Here are two:

Justice League #101 p.1 (JLA,JSA and Seven Soldiers of Victory) by Dillin and Joe Giella - this was the very first page to the very first super-hero comic I ever read. My cousin had a coverless version and I read it when it came out and to my 6-year old self, it was the greatest comic ever!!!!

Amazing Spider-Man #140 Cover - I was 8 1/2 when this came out and I loved the Jackal and the Grizzly and Spider-Man - I thought this was the most fascinating storyline and who were these amazing new villains (hey, I was only 8). http://comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1238549

Hope you enjoy them....

That ASM cover is suh-weet!!! (worship)

Had to skip San Diego this year, so I treated myself. Here's Simone Bianchi's variant cover to the upcoming Miracleman by Gaiman & Buckingham #1:

Marvel is restarting the numbering to Miracleman with #1 this September for the Gaiman/Buckingham run, as they will be completing "Golden Age", which was left unfinished due to the folding of Eclipse. This Bianchi piece is the only cover from the Marvel run I feel approaches any of the artistic heights seen in the 1980s series, drawing on an intricate depiction of Miracleman's Mount Olympus and what looks to be a nod to Moebius along the way.

Picked up a couple pieces from Evan Dorkin at HeroesCon this year:

Awesome! I love his stuff. I think he's very underrated as a cartoonist. I bought a Myron the Living Voodoo Doll piece from him at SDCC way back in '98, and got a Milk and Cheese sketch in '97. I'm hoping to buy a published piece from him, maybe at Cinci Comic Con. Would love to get a cover like this!
