:news: I've updated the FIRST POST of the thread to show the current list. IN ADDITION, I will continue to post the list in new posts when changes to the list are made.

Some of the more questionable items on the list will probably come off soon, but there might be some evidence coming in soon to confirm some of those, so I'll wait a bit longer....

I know I just bought 6 (or seven) off of someone on ebay who claims they're in 9.8 shape....we shall see...

Hey Revet

I've been digging thru my books since I found you guys.

I think I have some additions to your list.

I don't have a way to upload images but I will work on it.

I have, in hand, a Power of Shazam 17. I also have a Power of Shazam 1

Also, Detective 691, Adventures of Superman 531, and Aquaman 9

Any suggestions on quick ways to get images of these up here?

Zilla

Thank you so much zilla cat for the additions. I think some of the more serious people will be contacting you for some of the batmans and supermans.

Even though they are on the list, there were some questions about the existence of the following few. If you do have pictures of them, they would be much appreciated.

Adv of Superman 530, Action 706, Superman MOS 42 & 49, and Superman 95 & 11

Impulse 10, Steel 23

Anyone have any cgc copies they want to show off? Are any seemingly impossible in high grade?

There are always plenty of slabbed Flash #92s on eBay. I can't recall seeing any others.

The doomsday ones too

The rest may not be worth it. But maybe they should be.....

just bought a bunch of really high grade DCU's, all 9.8's and 9.6's. I'm thinking of slabbing some of the Knightsend/Quest stuff. Thoughts? Worth it?

Nice books!

I'm not sure it would be worth it to slab them, but it depends on what your collecting goals are. Value-wise I don't think the DCUs have a high enough visibility at this point to make them significantly more valuable than the non-variant issues for most books. The few that are, like the Death of Superman books, are sought after because they tend to be later prints that tend to be lower grade & lower print run. But even those tend to be most sought after by a relatively small number of variant completists.

If you're putting a Knightsend/Quest registry set, and you'd like to add an extra bit of coolness to your set, then I would slab them. If you're looking for value or resale then you'd probably do just as well raw after you account for the additional time and fees of slabbing. 2c

my collecting goals are to make money, and barring that, to have stuff that no one else has that I can look at smugly every so often.

And of course, lots and lots of Darkhawk 9.8's.
