Hepcat has a very diverse collection of comics and other collectibles from the 60's and 70's and loves to share pics of his collection here. He is very personable in his threads and shares some pics and stories about his cats. I think it's great. Very refreshing. No drama, just love for the hobby and his pets. The Boards needs more members like him. Just saying.

Couldn't agree more. Kinda sad some folks had a problem with such a fun and harmless thread.

Hep,I miss you in the positive thread. :(

Don't worry. I'll be back posting more actively in a few weeks. I just have a bunch of work related issues to resolve right now and something had to give.

An old farmer's advice:

“Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong.”

“Keep skunks and bankers at a distance.”

“Life is simpler when you plow around the stump.”

“A bumble bee is considerably faster than a John Deere tractor.”

“Words that soak into your ears are whispered…....not yelled.”

“Meanness don't just happen overnight.”

“Forgive your enemies; it messes up their heads.”

“Do not corner something that you know is meaner than you.”

“It don't take a very big person to carry a grudge.”

“You cannot unsay a cruel word.”

“Every path has a few puddles.”

“When you wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty.”

“The best sermons are lived, not preached.”

“Most of the stuff people worry about, ain't never gonna happen anyway.”

“Don't judge folks by their relatives.

“Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.”

“Live a good and honorable life, then when you get older and think back, you'll enjoy it a second time.”

“Don't interfere with somethin' that ain't bothering you none.”

“Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.”

“If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin'.”

“Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got.

“The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with, watches you from the mirror every mornin'.”

“Always drink upstream from the herd.”

“Good judgment comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgment.”

“Lettin' the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin' it back in.”

“If you get to thinkin' you're a person of some influence, try orderin' somebody else's dog around.”

“Live simply, love generously, care deeply,

Speak kindly, and leave the rest to God.”

“Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.”

Good thought for this thread.

An old navy man's advice:

"Always listen to experts. They'll tell you what can't be done, and why. Then do it."

"Small change can often be found under seat cushions."

"It's amazing how much 'mature wisdom' resembles being too tired."

"Money is a powerful aphrodisiac. But flowers work almost as well."

"The truth of a proposition has nothing to do with it credibility. And vice versa."

"You live and learn. Or you don't live long."

"Do not handicap your children by making their lives easy."

"Never underestimate the power of human stupidity."

"Yield to temptation, it may not pass your way again."

"Don't try to have the last word. You might get it."

"Never try to outstubborn a cat."

The WOMAN tells me that Cowboy's ears perked up and started twitching and he started to look around when Styx's song by the Tragically Hip was played on the radio yesterday.

A new kitten may be on the horizon for us in mid-May:

Hey! I guess it must be a Canadian variant! Other issues that can be found on the net are just 25 cents.

So is my Canadian issue a priceless variant therefore?

She was the runt of the litter so she's not very big. She's grown very noticeably in the last eight days though!

She's looking good! We've been getting updates on the kitten we took in, and it is amazing how much they grow and change over a short period of time.
