Southern Bastards from Image

I was searching for a recent Modern series to start reading and decided to check out Southern Bastards. This is the best new series I've found by far. The story is deep and the characters are rich and within the first few issues you can already see how many layers this book has to unfold. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has had a passing interest in picking it up.

I've also been reading Saga, Walking Dead, Rachel Rising, Lazarus, The Fade Out, Hawkeye, Peter Panzerfaust, and Velvet.

If anyone has any other recommendations based on this reading list, please let me know!

Wow, thanks for all of these!

I definitely will be checking out Men of Wrath and I've heard great things about Aaron's run on Thor so that's on the list as well.

I started reading East of West in the beginning but for whatever reason it just didn't keep me. I'm sure I'll give it a second chance down the road.

I love the first six issues of this title. #7 wasn't bad, but a little more by-the-numbers with fewer surprises.

I'm eager to get to the arc (next one?) where Earl's daughter steps up.

+1

I'm enjoying seeing Boss's back story, but I'm definitely ready to get back to present time and see what happens.
