Excellent work Jim - the JIUW 13 is the pick of the litter for me I had a decent copy I wish I could get back.

when a VF- copy of that shows up at auction look out...

Of course the Spellbound is 18 is a knockout also.

What a sweet group of books. All have great covers, now I'd like to add copies of those books to my collection. The only one I own is JIUW 28. The 13 has a great cover and your copy looks really nice.

I don't remember if I have already posted this one. It's part of a stack of Atlas War books I purchased a couple of years ago. This one has yet another killer cover by Russ Heath.

It's pretty as can be.....very glossy, but it's one of the "D" copies with some foxing to the BC....that and a transfer stain on the FC bring the grade down from what presents like a 9.4...... my kinda book.... GOD BLESS...

Yes, it is a very nice book. I'd take 8.5's like that any day over 9.4's.

How much you think CGC knocks down a book for transfer stains?

I don't think I could say..... this book here really is structurally 9.2 or so.... but it also has some BC foxing..... and it came down to 8.5. The Billy Wright books also had some mad foxing and dust shadows and seemed to be unaffected with final grades..... and both collections were submitted by Heritage for slabbing..... probably just loose and tight periods. Haspel was around for the "D" books and absent(I believe...) for the Wrights', so that may have had an impact, as his strictness is legendary. GOD BLESS...

....I would imagine BC transfers weigh more heavily than FC..... they do to me, anyway.

Not the best looking copy, but I like the cover so much that I went for it when the book came up for sale last year.

Recent pick-up that I know isn't everybody's cup of tea, however when I saw this copy for sale I had to have it.

The color strike is off and makes a neat psychedelic effect! Plus it contains some decent stories inside...

Also trying to figure out what issue that is on the back cover. Haven't started researching yet but if anyone can guess, let me know...
