3 Questions

Here are 3 questions I love to ask people. It says a lot about them and is a good ice breaker.

1.) If you were a Super Hero what power would you like to have?

2.) Quickly, What is your favorite Beatles song?

3.) If you were to have a party at your house, what three people (living or dead)

would you like to be there and why?

Here's my answers:

1.) Invisibility. Think of all the things you could secretly find out about. Think of the

fun you could have? And no one would know you were there...

2.) "Dizzie Miss LIzzie" A straight up rock and roll song. Nothing heavy that you

have to think about. Just a good time beginning to end. Toe tapping and fun.

(preferably played loud)

3.) Jesus, Benjamin Franklin and Jimi Hendrix. Three people (other than my

family) that have probably influenced me the most.

Jesus: Think of the things he could tell you if he wanted to. Also at a party he

could turn water into wine.

Benjamin Franklin: One of the smartest and most inventive people (in all fields)

that ever lived. Also I heard he was quite the social partier guy. Probably

could bring lots of girls to my party...

Jimi Hendrix: Best electric guitarist of all time? Surely he re-invented the

electric guitar. Deeply based in blues, rhythm and blues and American

music. Would love him to show me a few tricks. He could provide the

entertainment and would also probably attract a few more girls.

What would YOUR answers be???

First off, great questions. It will be interesting what the answers will be.

1. Time Travel. You think Dale Roberts and Foolkiller have good sales threads :takeit:

2. Think For Yourself from Rubber Soul. My favorite Beatles album and such a great, great song. Written by Harrison by the way.

3.

a. Humphrey Bogart. Nothing to say other than I think he was a master of his craft and possibly the greatest actor ever.

b. The second is much harder...there is a long list...Tesla, Edison, Alexander the Great, Ben Franklin, George Washington, etc. All are great men whose brains I'd love to pick.

c. This one is easy. Adolph Hitler. That way I could get drunk and Alexander, Ben, George and I could kick his sorry all over the room.

Great post RB :)

1 Power of flight always wanted to free flight without boundaries

2 While My Guitar Weeps loved George growing up one of the most underated guitar players in the world!

3 Jesus for the things he could tell us.

Jim Morrison loved his music and would have loved to meet him.

Lou Fine loved his art and would have loved to meet him and his drawing board!

1.) Telepathy, Charles Xavier style. (But I'd use it like Magneto would...)

2.) Tough, tough question. Norwegian Wood or While My Guitar Gently Weeps. (Like your Hendrix one - Guitar Gently Weeps would have been a totally different song if they hadn't asked Clapton to play it...while Bob Dylan wrote "All Along the Watchtower", Hendrix OWNED it!)

3.) Even tougher. If we're talking classy dinner party (like my wife and I now attempt to throw) vs. parties I threw as a single guy or in university, it's a really different answer. Let's go with Charles Dickens (good partier and great conversationalist), Elizabeth Taylor (hot, probably have some good stories, and, hot...), and...Henry VIII. Because you know he'd rachet up the crazy and you'd get to see how long it took him to take a shot at Liz.

Awesome!!! I get the feeling someone just watched the new Big Bang!!

1. If super powers were bestowed upon me at my choosing I would gladly take the gift of flight first. I love the open air (I drive a Wrangler :cloud9:) I love looking into the sky and just wondering...With over 100 billion galaxies there is so much out there. Obviously flight alone wouldn't be enough to withstand the elements but even if I could climb & soar the skies like a bird that would be pretty darn sweet!!

2. Favorite Beatles Song - In My Life from the Rubber Soul album followed closely by sooooooo many other great great great songs!! Its ironic you ask because I was just strumming and singing Rocky Raccoon to my children a few hours ago lol Tough question there my friend...I do love the overall melody of the song but that piano lick is timeless even if it was originally only recorded at half tempo (thumbs u

3. Tough Tough Tough question...Well this is a party so lets get it started with some Axl Rose!! I love GnFnR's and would love to see if he really is the Wizard of Odd he has portrayed to us for so many years. Plus I would like him to stand at the door and welcome everyone to the, "Jungle" with a shrilled scream of, "You Know where the Spooooooon you ARE!!!!" Second I would like to invite my Grandma Michealina...She and I used to sit and talk for hours on end while playing 500 Rummy...She was a very wonderful soul and I would love to pour her drink now that I am of age and toast to the good life and all the awesome memories we made!! Lastly would be a myriad of not necessarily famous people but great people such as the aforementioned Jesus, Mother Theresa, MLK Jr., so on and so forth so I knew the party would be on the up and up!!! Plus I think Axl would bring enough crazy to fill the whole room by himself anyways!!

Amazing. I don't think anyone has picked the same Beatles song. Just goes to show how the Beatles affected different people. I'm 47...hell these guys were done as a band by the time I was a toddler and yet Rubber Soul is one of my favorite albums...go figure.

Chris.

hm

1) Starfox's power to influence others by stimulating the pleasure center of their brain. You could get anything from anyone at any time with just a smile. Better than money, better than brains.

2) Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight, The End .....applicable to almost any trial you'll face in life.

3)

Hugh Hefner circa 1960, at the peak of his powers...we'd party at his place. ;)

Elvis Presley, circa 1957, again at his peak....the guy knew how to party.

Socrates, the foundation of ethics and logical thought came through his early teachings, it would be fascinating to have a discussion with him

Wow, this is fun. Seems like a lot of people like to fly and travel back in time (June or maybe May cover date 1938 would be my choice so I could have my pick of all those mint Action #1's)

I picked the Beatles because MOST everyone young or old likes them and they have such a wonderful catalog of music. Lotta love for Rubber Soul here. I'm a Lennon fan and like to rock although if I had to pick one of his solo songs it would be Imagine hands down. Still makes me want to cry everytime I hear it... I'm really more of a Stones fan though. First time I heard them do blues I was hooked and didn't know why. Really influenced my music tastes for life.

Party guests: That seems to be all over the place. I like that people pick loved ones and almost thought of that but my loved ones left me with a lot and I hope to see them again in the future. Famous people like Hendrix will have a longer line like seeing Jim Lee at a comic con so I'd rather just talk to them in the confines of my house.

You really learn a lot about what makes people tick with these 3 questions.

1.) If you were a Super Hero what power would you like to have?

"Two chicks at the same time."

2.) Quickly, What is your favorite Beatles song?

"Norwegian Wood"

3.) If you were to have a party at your house, what three people (living or dead) would you like to be there and why?

- Keith Moon.

- Peter O'Toole

- Winston Churchill. (Runner up: Ava Gardner)

Same reason for all three: all were legendary boozers, bon vivants, and racounteurs. Plus I'm pretty sure they could pull more babes, and spring for better brandy, than I could on my own. Sounds like a party to me.

:)
