The only issue of this title that I ever bought. Most of the time I read

them for free in the Barber Shop...I guess these were considered more

mature...along with FIELD & STREAM and The POLICE GAZETTE.

that I purchased off the newsstands from 1942 through 1954.

Yes, Nancy and Sluggo don't seem to have fared as well as Little Lulu and Tubby. I have to admit that's at least partly because the stories weren't as good.

I can remember how excited I was to find this issue on the newsstand...

having only heard very little detail at the time about WELLES and his

radio broadcast in the 30's.
