Hope it's a really good job he's relocating to. :wishluck:

With price guides, posters and such a wide variety it looks like he was both a true fan and at it a long time.

There's probably an upside to a clean slate, but wow, felt a little sad for the guy looking at those pics.

The stuff he's had to sell has been eye-opening. He's collected for 40+ years and had a job where he could buy whatever he wanted. He used to work for Disney.

He's relocating for a job at a startup in a similar line of work but the backer has a lot of cash to do things right.

Peace,

Chip

I like the Captain America poster!

Nice Tyler Stout Captain American (Variant) Mondo Print there!

Thanks guys. I see they sell for $400-500+ and probably more framed, but this is one thing I'm keeping. I've already cleared space for it and will be hanging it tomorrow next to Tony the Tiger. lol. I think it's awesome. :)

Mondo stuff is so tough to get for a reasonable price. I have an Artist Proof of the Whalen signed Super Powers print and I think that's great, but I had to acquire it right from the artist to snag it.

My buddy texted me a little while ago and said he found more stuff, so I'm meeting him again tomorrow at 2pm. It'll never end...he has too much and he doesn't want to move it around anymore. :)

Peace,

Chip

So after joining the forum and getting back into the hobby I inquired on my first Craigslist ad. The ad was for Thanos Quest and IG set. I walked away with those listed, and much more including one of my personal "whales"....

Here's the original books offered:

Here is some extra he threw in for free:

and then without even knowing it was for sale, he showed me this and when I asked how much he wanted he said $150.00.... :takeit:

I still can't believe I own such a beautiful copy of a book like this. WOW!

Well done on that find. I have yet to find anything decent on CL since I've returned to the hobby.

Found these at an Estate Sale... For 25 cents or maybe it was 50 cents each, I can't remember. Had to have them. I looked in Overstreet and they're not worth much, but I dig 'em anyway. There are a few other Talking Komics out there. Maybe I'll complete the run! (Grumpy Shark is definitely the "key" so I'm all set there, but "Lonesome Octopus" sounds like a winner!) They remind me a little bit of EC's "Land of the Lost" title. Here are a few pics:
