Just always brought a cold lonely image to mind...a triangle of cheese,in a beige overcoat and tipped forward fedora,standing by itself on a street corner.trash blowing by like urban tumbleweed...

Lots of verses with the fox switched out for other animals, anything silly "catch a fish and make a wish", "catch a goose then set it loose", etc., etc. Good times being five years old.
