Watching GOTHAM made me want to dig out all my PENGUIN issues.

I wonder if the popularity of Pengy on Gotham is gonna make Penguin covers more collectable again? hm

Wow...just such a varied, and great, collection! Did you just buy what ever caught your eye that day or did you have favorites?

THANKS!

I had my favorites that I bought...but I was always on the lookout for First Issues...

I think I enjoyed finding them on the newsstand more than picking up one of my

regulars.

Never thought I'd still be looking at them all these years later.

Marty, this is so great that you hung on to all these books that you actually bought at the newstand. Awesome... :golfclap:

THANKS! I really enjoy sharing them.

Sunday was always the day I went to The UNION NEWS Stand at the

Newark Train Station with my Father where he would buy a Philadelphia paper

and I would get to pick out a comic. This newsstand was unique in that they did

not sell any DC or FAWCETT comics but did sell issues I didn't see hardly

anywhere else...like these.

Cool books and backstory. I always assumed DC was sold everywhere (due to Superman).

I'm sure going through your collection and posting them here is bringing back a lot of memories for you. It must be fun.

THANKS! It's strange how much I can recall about the time period surrounding the

purchase of certain books...and as I've mentioned before, little did I know that all these

years later I'd be sharing my collection in such a way that was only dreamed of back then.
