As I remember, these titles were very difficult to find on the newsstand.

Received a very nice plaque from CGC today for "Best Forumite 2014"...truly a nice

gesture for doing something I thoroughly enjoy.

Just saw this comment about the plaque, Marty. :applause: You deserve it. I know I appreciate your posting your books. (thumbs u

Did you get the issue after this one? I discovered the cover to #17 a while ago and may eventually try to snag one:

No I only have two HEADLINE COMICS...#16 and #24...didn't see them that often.

While going through some of my books, I realized how much was contained

in them...for example, my ALL-AMERICAN #95 had a 12-page GREEN LANTERN

story, a 6-page BLACK PIRATE story, a 7-page HOP HARRIGAN story, a 6-page

DR. MIDNIGHT story plus 4 pages of MUTT & JEFF and a 4-page COTTON-TOP

KATIE story. There were advertisements for KODAK FILM, WHEATIES "Win A

Columbia Bike" contest, DAISY Air Rifles, BILLFOLDS for $1,98, Learn to Build

Radios, an ad for GET PREMIUMS like Record Players, Movie Projectors, etc

just for selling White CLOVERINE Brand Salve for 25 cents a box along with ads

for BRIGHT STAR Flashlight Batteries and SMITH BROTHERS Cough Drops.

Plus...in-house ads for LEAVE IT TO BINKY #1...MR. DISTRICT ATTORNEY #2

and FLASH COMICS #93.

And "All For Just A Dime!".

And just think about how much more reading time when compared with a current comic.

Yes, there's some great artwork in there, and the stories are an improvement on many of their contemporaries. Here's a couple of splashes from DMQ #6
