This has bumped up to my favorite title.

Right now, I'd put it in my Top 3, behind East of West and Saga.

Velvet, Zero, East of West, and Southern Bastards/The Fade Out are my top 5 (hoping to see more from both of the last titles before splitting them up).

I can certainly see The Fade Out moving up for me. I don't want to pre-maturely put it in my top 5 since it's only 1 issue in, but historically, I have loved everything Brubaker has written. Zero definitely is in my top 5, as well.

Yea Fade Out was pretty awesome. I'm still enjoying Velvet but it is sort of the sleeper in my pull list. I always forget it but am pleasantly surprised when I read it.

That's probably the case for Velvet with a lot of people, but it's definitely one I look forward to every issue

I can't wait to pick up last week's pull. This book has shot to the top of my pile.

#7 was another great read. So much good stuff going on in this book.

Probably the art.

Really fun but probably one that will be better to hold until you have 5-6 to read.

Though the story isn't exactly complex.

How long since the last issue? Brubaker said from the start that this was going to be bimonthly, more or less.

Well Velvet 10 came out in April. It's such a fun book so I hope there aren't any more massive delays.

This weeks issue was pretty good. The new arc has me interested.

I feel like the book needs a recap page though. As we discussed, it doesn't come out often enough to just assume we remember everything.

Hmm, Velvet Deluxe Edition HC is available for preorder on DCBS right now ($49.99 @ 50% off = $24.99). Wondering if I should preorder or would it be better to just wait and get it via InStockTrades when it's actually released?
