This is one of my favorite STAR SPANGLED covers.

This SUPERMAN #101 is not one I picked up on the newsstand but got

in a group of books I bought at an auction years ago. It's dated November

1955 and I wondered if this was considered GA or SA...or as was mentioned

maybe Atomic Age.

If you date the SA from Showcase 4 (Sep-Oct 1956), then it would be GA. There can't be an Atomic Age because there is no thread for it.

Now if you are in the tiny minority who date the SA to the publication of Det 225 (first Martian Manhunter), then Sup 101 was published in the first month of the SA!

In my view, the SA really begins with the publication of FF 1 in Nov 1961.

I guess I picked this one off the newsstand because of it's cover.

Bought this over 70 years ago and the cover still makes me smile.

I'm not quite sure what this genre or category of comics comes under,

but I certainly enjoyed finding them on the newsstand and reading them

over and over.

the MARVEL FAMILY #1...is this factual?

FLASH COMICS #70-72-87 & 99...around 5.0 which is where almost all of my

collection seems to be graded.

As I wait for my FLASH COMICS to be shipped, I'm preparing my next submission,

FUNNYMAN #1. I remember seeing this treasure hanging from a clothespin in the

window of the corner store. I spent days looking at it on the way to and from school,

hoping they wouldn't sell it before I could get a dime.

Yep. His only GA appearance. And nice book!
