So....Senden is not sendin' ?
Fake money orders are a big money maker for fraudsters; maybe patience is in order?

Of course, you had pre-approval for the Western Union money order, and the hold contingency, before you sent it and made the deal, right?
I am sure you asked all those pertinent questions ahead of time to the dealer, as you are that type of person, right? The type to know that Western Union money orders are some of the most frauded types of payments and that coin dealers may be leary of them.
You've been around the block a bit, so I am sure you did due diligence on payment methods the dealer prefers, that map to what you wanted to use, and the pros/cons of each, right?
I mean, I am not as experienced as you and those would be the first things I would go through....and I wouldn't think 10 days is as big a deal unless I were worried about the dealer skipping town or I was trying for a quick flip. Do either of those apply?

There is something seriously wrong with you.

Yes, I am a rocket scientist.
Strangely, Western Union Money Orders, which can be purchased at most supermarkets and many department stores, are tough to cash for real money. For example, K-Mart sells Western Union Money Orders to buyers, but if somebody sends you one, and you bring it into the store with several good picture IDs, plus your passport and birth certificate, K-Mart will NOT cash it for you. Same thing with all the supermarkets around here, they sell but will never buy. Therefore, a recipient of a WUMO probably has to bring it over to a bank, and banks still usually won't cash them for money, unless they can do so by putting a hold on your account, but will hold them for clearing, just as if they were personal checks, and unfortunately even longer than personal checks.
Maybe just out of curiosity, but preferably for the sake of our discussion here, please get on the phone, and call around in your own local geographic area, and see if you can find a place where they will give you cash for a Western Union Money Order. And if you find a place, ask if they will give you the full amount, or deduct a fee and percentage. Then, please report back to us. After your report, let's continue the discussion. Thanks!
