I thought you purchased this coin, and this is why I withheld this comment, but I think that $2,600 is a bit much for this coin. I would have expected $1200-$1500, and I personally wouldn't have paid more than $750-$800, and even then, I would consider it pricey (but I do tend to be conservative on the amount that I pay for toning compared to some bidders).
No sir, I took the lead when you showed it to me and than 10 minutes later someone put a whooping on me.

The color is way worth the price but the luster on this coin looks amazing and there is an old adage that I even seen Mark Feld talk about on his site . WIth screaming luster every single hit on that coin is going to be noticeable.

I like your textile toner much better.

Areas of Interest: Original classic gold coins from the Southern mints (New Orleans, Charlotte, and Dahlonega); Carson City minted Morgan Dollars, early copper; high end, quality U.S. type coinage; proof like and deep mirror prooflike coinage; toners including Peace Dollars and classic gold; and cameo and deep/ultra cameo proof coins from 1936-1942.
So if you want to cheat feel free. Pictures kind of give away the source. I had great interest in this coin. Would love to hear some of your guesses on price.
Wow. Beautiful looking coin dimefreak!
I'm liking the full-coverage toning + colors + lustre. It's a winning combination

I'm not a Morgan guy but that obverse looks stellar. MJ

The toning is amazing on this piece!! The color that covers the obverse is very pretty, but I'm not a Morgon fan, if I was I would consider bidding but not that high for the commmen date..LOL......It is a monster....
