You know...I just wrote earlier in the FF 1 thread that FF1 is the 2nd SA Mega key.

But, Hulk 1 is approaching that 2nd spot also. From a census perspective, Hulk 1 has a lot less 570 versus FF 1 760.

Either way, you can't go wrong buying either book. Hulk 1 is on the rise too.

I've never been much of a fan of the book mainly because the rest of the stories weren't good reads. IMO.

From a legacy standpoint I think it is FF 1. From an investment standpoint I think that Hulk 1 has a lot more upside potential. Either way you can't go wrong, they are both worthy.

I think if you polled 100 people, you'd get pretty close to 50/50..... (unless, of course, you all people like Junkdrawer more than one vote \:\) )

but agree with the consensus that you can't go wrong with either.

if you base your decision purely on price, the FF1 is your winner.

In five years I would say Hulk 1 - today FF 1. But be happy with either.

Hulk 1 by far imo. If FF1 weren't the start of the Marvel age I don't think it would be that big of a deal (on par with X1 most likely) But hey, I've always preferred FF 5 to FF1.
Histoically FF1 is #1
Financially it's # 3.

Wow, I am really out of the loop on this one. I thought FF #1 would by far be the superior book. But based on the response above, I will sit back and learn.

I agree historically F.F.#1 is number 1,but the reality is that AF 15 is the top dog.The Incredible Hulk #1 is number 2.

FF had always been the leader of the pack, with Spider-Man right behind. Hulk was never in the running near the front, for the character or the books or the collectors. But as popularity has changed over time with new collectors, and the internet, the CGC market, plus movies, Hulk is a hot item right now.

The same things make AF 15 the leader, but for the top key book for the next title behind it, Hulk 1 is right there. I think FF has long term strength, but the other big titles are right behind them. I credit all of that to the current outlets, movies etc.
