Better yet, post the list here and in every forum. Please include a link to where we may purchase this amazing collection.
Jeez, lighten up Francis. This isn't General where you have to jump down every noob's throat for the slightest violation. Clearly there are quite a few people here interested in the seeing this list of books, myself included.
Yes, clearly. Because they want to buy them, more than likely. It's spam, no two ways about it. The only difference is that it's spam that people think will benefit them, so no one's making a stink about it.
I want to be clear though. From now on it's okay for me to make a thread that says, "I've got a bunch of books I want to sell. Who wants a list of them?" and post it in GA? Because that's what this is.
I get where you're coming from, I really do. But your anti-spamming spam is more annoying than his original spam.
And yeah of course we might want to buy them---what's wrong with that? Many of the people here in Gold don't venture out much and would likely miss this if it was only posted in the marketplace. For that reason we have a dedicated thread here for posting selling annoucements and yeah, that might have been a better place for him to post this. But why get so worked up about it?
If you have an original owner GA collection with a Suspense 3 in it, then yes, by all means please post a selling thread here about it. No one will complain, I promise---rules or no rules.
And that's the gist of the complaint that I have. If it had been a list promising low grade Four Colors from the early 50s, no one would abide it. We'd, probably, gently point out the correct forum for selling either here or off the boards.
Throw in the promise of a Suspense #3 and people are frothing at the mouth, much less are they going to say anything to the OP for fear of not getting the list. It just confirms the stereotype that collectors will shove their grandmother down the stairs if Stalin had the right books to sell.
I see a distinction between requesting a list of comics and shoving grandma down the stairs.

The Four Colors are better reads.
I agree. I already sold my Suspense 3 but still looking for a Four Color 9 even though I have read the Duck story in several formats.
I would like a list please. Are we all still waiting?

It could have been well worth it, I though that it was you standing at the top of the stairs. What the heck the old biddy was doing up that late, I don't know.

Whoa!!
More importantly, what was he doing at my house at that time of the night, interrupting his grandma and I?

From what the OP has indicated, I am quite sure that clearly well-loved is referring not to the hope that the books were well-taken care of, but surely more likely to the fact that they are all well-read and in extremely low-grade condition.
I also agree with your point that ther bulk of the collection will be in low-demand tiltle with the Suspense Comics #3 not actually being representative of what is in the collection as a whole.

I got a look over the weekend at the first batch of books from this OO collection.
For the majority of us here, there won't be much appeal unfortunately. But for some others, there are going to be a lot of books right in their wheelhouse.
Mostly low-to-mid grade early 50's stuff from what I sampled, but still nicely presenting books for the most part.
No, I did not see the Suspense 3.
I do know the seller and have done business with him before. He is excellent - strict grading, fair pricing, forthright, and easy to work with. Even though I didn't pick up anything this time, I've been extemely happy with our past deals. Anyone who is looking to obtain some of these books can deal with him with confidence.
Let's see what the future holds with the next batches...
