I love auctions.....

With all the hype surrounding the latest Heritage Auction, I decided to tune in on the internet. I am amazed at the prices, but I am glad that collectors are putting money into something that they hopefully love.
Admittedly, I did have one impulse purchase - The Walking Dead #1 CGC 9.8.
What?
Well, it seemed that the price was reasonable considering what I had seen on EBAY lately. Admittedly it isn't as much of a good deal when you add in the buyers premium, shipping, and sales tax. However, with so many premium lots of older books, I am hoping that folks just overlooked it in favor of getting to the older books.
I know that many of you think that TWD is in a bubble, but I love the story and I think with the TV show, it has far greater legs that many give it credit for.
If I had to do it all over again, I think I would have bid on the Thor #337 CGC 9.9 signed by Stan Lee. This is one of the first books I ever bought as a kid and it remains one of my all time favorites.
Thanks for reading and happy collecting.

Some of the prices were mind blowing. The hobby is getting expensive at the top.

Glad you picked up something you like. I have no idea if Walking Dead is in a bubble but it is certainly a great comic series and TV show.
