... did they have The Amazing Colossal Man in mind? hm

Man that is a great comparison! I know Hulk and this film and never put the two together like that! Definitely worthy of posting in the comics section - maybe SA to avoid the hooligans of Comics General.

It gets even better - we know that Banner went into the danger zone to resuce a lost driver, while Manning went into the danger zone to rescue a downed pilot.

So both men risked their lives to save strangers with a gamma/nuclear blast pending, and miraculously survived, only to become monsters.

Jack Kirby was noted to be a big Ray Harryhausen and sci-fi fan. When I look at those pre-hero (Kirby) Marvel monsters, I often think of Harryhausen.

<gulp>

I have faith that many of us buffs would rate her highly as far as sci-fi babes go.

As a reminder, there will be no contest image posted on Wednesday, July 4th. I sincerely hope that those of us celebrating have a fun and safe holiday.

I will be in-and-out for continued thread discussion while also doing research for upcoming images.

Two images will post on Thursday, July 5th.

Hopefully we are having a 'blast' so far... I know I am (thank you)!

To quote Ernest Thesiger speaking to Colin Clive in BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN - "That is sad. Very sad."

In my 39 years studying Classical North Indian music (I still study it) I learned to cook Indian food from many Indian folk. A good curry is not really difficult but you have to know the ingredients and processes.

I remember my main cooking teacher, a Bengali Brahman from Kolkata would show me a recipe but part way through the cooking would ALWAYS send me to the pantry to gather more ingredients. Now I had realized my dishes were lacking and I finally decided to check a theory.

The next time she sent me to the pantry I hid by the doorway and watched as she started quickly adding other ingredients or doing some sort of manipulation to the food..

I started laughing and called to her "Kalpana, what are you doing there?" She laughed back and from that point I had no more trips to the pantry.

I know right.Sad,sad,sad.

Usually when we order if its available on the menu, the family knows ill order
Singapour noodles with chicken and schrimps.

Tonight, decided to try and order something a bit different as i felt more chicken than noodles.

I learned my lesson from that.

Plus,it was 60 % white rice,30 green peppers,10%chicken and 10% curry.

Sad i tell ya.

I noticed that too but also noticed the OP, so I took to heart the old adage "consider the source".
