I was reading Dooly's topic on that 1955 DDO and it reminded me of some of the errors I found in rolls of coins I would buy from the bank.
Have you ever found a coin in pocket change or in a roll that you wouldn't think you would find unless at a coin dealer or Ebay?
Last August I bought $100.00 in quarters from a local bank, these rolls were double crimped from Dunbar. I first look at the edges of the coin to see if there are any silver ones. One of the rolls had a 1963 quarter. But the next roll had a 1970D DDO-001. I had a dealer check it out to make sure and I was correct. He sent it to PCGS to be graded and it came back AU55. I sold it a few months later for $850.00
I am sure some of you have interesting stories as well.
