My scanner is not long enough and picks up glare, Is there an optimal way to image a CGC comic?

I was considering picking up a sheet or two of black construction paper to lay on top of the comic (so it appears to have a black background when scanned) and see if it helps with the glare at the bottom I get sometimes. \(shrug\)

I always use a piece of black velvet type cloth. It works great.

Try getting a legal scanner. Tons of threads about known problems with scanners and which ones don't give glare.
