Another concrete example. Walking Dead and Big Bang Theory were both in the same room last year- ballroom 20. I got there at 6 AM and there were about a thousand people ahead of me. Still got a good seat. if I remember correctly walking dead was in mid afternoon. They don't clear the rooms in hall H or ballroom 20 after each panel so bring lunch. The good news is there is bathroom access!
I gave up on lines years ago. Life is too short. If I have to wait in line more than 30 minutes (and even that is a waste of time for me) then life is just too precious to wait around standing or sitting on a dirty carpet.
Sure, there are some panels that I'd love to see, and sure it is disappointing to know that all the action is going on in the big room without me, but on the other hand, waiting in line for 1-24 hours when I could be using that time to enjoy everything else in and around the con with no wait time at all, that seems like an easy call to me.
Heck, I have been a fanboy before too and I know what obsession can do to a guy, but when you look at all the options, I'd say that life beats lines any day (or hour) of the week!
OK, one exception, I did wait four hours just to get my full con passes for the next year. But other than that, no lines for me! Not worth it!
Reminder for those desperate for a SDCC hotel room that some may be released around Sat. May 12/12, as the last day to cancel a reservation without 1 night's cost penalty is Fri. May 11/12. Hotel Circle is better than sleeping on the sidewalk in front of Hall H like fans have been doing the last 2 summers.

The Courtyard in downtown SD with 2 beds is still available at $215/night. For hotel circle, the best value may be Double Tree Mission Valley with 2 queen beds, hot breakfast at $185/night.
I got my room at $100/night :).. Need badges though
Where'd you book!?? I have 1 badge, not sure I could get another for ya tho...
A motel at Chula Vista. It was a special rate Dang you sure you can't get another badge? I'll pay more than what they were selling for at the SDCC website
So is anyone gonna participate in The Walking Dead Escape. Figured to post it in here since its right across the street from the Convention Center at Petco Park.
