Yeah, I'm in the area and saw the ad, but when the seller has a price point so high in mind, I don't think its even worth going to look at.

The collections estimated value is $15,000. My thought is that this would be more suited to a sale to a nationwide comic book dealer, and at a much smaller fraction of the collections value. It seems to me on a bulk sale like this, that also crosses several comic book ages, the percentage being asked is way too high. The seller also mentions that he is not going to give the collection away but is open to offers.

Would the true value of the collection, especially since its being sold in bulk, be more like 10-15%?
My thought also. I sold around 100+ toy train sets and related items on E-Bay a couple of years ago. It was a fair amount of work and took quite a while, but I received much more than I would have as a bulk sale. The same would apply here I believe.

I'm not that far away either. I am sure he is showing he is showing his best stuff in the pix. He wants $1K/long box. Looks like something I would pay maybe $50-100/long box.
