Ever since my personal yoga instructor/Sensei/Quran teacher/Country Record Producer found out that the true meaning of life was being introduced by the mystic group Yäháqtè'Mœkrįn through comic strip reprints, he became obsessed with "clues" left behind by them. I stopped talking to him in 2004 because I honestly thought he was crazy, specially after telling me I had "no real talent for showbiz"... Yeah, I thought he had lost it. Until one day... As I was reading the 35 cent copy of Star Wars 1, I noticed it was different than the original, it was a variant. I noticed that every third word of every third page made sentences taken from the 1973 King James Bible, then I noticed that this was true with all variants, not just Star Wars. Like HOS39, the second word of every third word bubble, tells about the end of the World, I was fascinated.I started to write all the clues I found and met up with Chalim Abdhulla again and told him how I too had found secrets within comic books. It had taken me years to write them all and lots of time reading comics and finding 30 and 35 cent variants. When I finally found Chalim, I told him, not only about the clues, but also about all the cool variants I had sought out and found, and the many many stories I had read; then... He told me something I will never forget.."oh the clues?"... He paused and said: "mmm, oh man.. duuuuude, that was all bullshìt!!!... I just couldn't stand being around your girlfriend, so I acted all crazy man."
Moral of the story: there is no secret to life, but damn it's fun collecting variants!!!
You cant beat that feel of digging thur box and box of books and all of sudden there is a WWT 16 30 center or a 35 Cent Tarzan or JC that has been sitting there for years.
Now to find those elusive Star Wars so I can retire.
BTW SA your variant should be there any day I sent out Sat I think.

I may never find the book I need, but this tale has inspired me to at least keep searching.

none I needed.
I have never been able to sort Clink auction items for variants like I can for the regular listings. It seems like I have to scroll through all of the auctions to find them. It s a pain. Probably operator error on my part.
TimmayTimmay My custom title skills are sorely lacking.

tried that, multiple times over the years, same result - doesn't seem to work for me with the auction part. It will say there are x number of items, but never show them like when I do that same search for their for sale items.
